I hate to ignore people on facebook, but sometimes I would rather send a message to them instead of accepting their friend request. Especially for people I don't really know or want to be bothered with. Do you think it is okay to acknowledge them with a message but ignore their request?

Why even worry about these people then? I have sent messages to people I know but didnt friend request them...

I guess sometimes it's complicated. I have some people who are friends with other friends of mine. In other words, when i go home to visit I usually run into some of this people because they are friends of other friends. Some of these people are like Frenemies (lol). I try to be cool with some of these people even though i don't really care for them. Does this make any sense? Especially now that everyone is on Facebook, every time I go to a bar back home it's like a high school reunion. Even though I had a lot of friends in high school, I didn't care for all of the High school drama.

one day I wasn't thinking and I added just one friend from high school and it seems to have opened pandora's box. I'm getting all kinds of requests from people. Facebook reminds me of 6 degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon (lol).

I usually add them, then snoop thru their pictures... Yes, im a snoop! Then after a while I delete them out if we dont interact...
