It is. I've played it twice, back when it only cost $275 a round. Ouch.

i'm watching, my husband is there today, he's a volunteer. yesterday he took my son there, and they met tiger and a lot of the other players. pretty cool!

The DirecTV coverage is incredible. You can watch 4 channels at once as well as have an updated scoreboard, and it's all very interactive. Just beautiful in high def.

that's really cool! i don't have cable tv or directv at all, so i've just been watching it online, would be nice to see it better though. pebble beach truly is a beautiful place! i go there all the time, and i never get tired of it.

My sweetie is a volunteer for the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits later this summer.

Last time he volunteered at a tournament, one of the people he shuttled was Elin Woods. I doubt that'll happen this time.

It is. My sweetie and I had lunch there in...1996, I think. The restaurant overlooks the 18th green, if I recall correctly. (I had a delicious crab and artichoke frittata.)

We thought about playing, but since it would have cost around $600 for the two of us (and even more because we'd need to rent clubs), we passed.

DirecTV is the best, I swear to it. I can watch all four feeds at once. I can highlight any one of them (as noted by the yellow frame on one frame), and hear just the audio from that feed. The menu is a live update, and interactive when you press the red menu button on the remote. In HighDef, it's just awesome.

I've had the online coverage tuned to the Woods/Els/Westwood group all morning.

It was $275 a round in '97, when I was there. But heck, that's a bargain now. It's $495 a pop, plus $35 cart fee, plus a caddy. More than a grand for a twosome, but every golf fan ought to play it once in their life.

We also played Spyglass and Cypress Point. Of the three, I liked Spyglass the best, even though Pebble is the most historic and Cypress is the most exclusive. Spyglass has everything.

One of the commentators on the coverage I was watching today put it nicely. Playing a round there is like the Louvre letting you hire gallery space.

Tiger just finished off a round of 66, making a nice move into contention for Sunday.

2nd shot on 18 was awesome.

McDowell and Johnson could easily come back to him over the rest of the back 9 too. He could easily start tomorrow only a couple of shots off the lead.

Like I said, everyone that loves golf needs to play Pebble once in their life. But dang, it is expensive!

Nice choke, Dustin. All yesterday they kept talking in the commentary about how Dustin Johnson's caddie had said he was a 'flatliner' who feels no pressure and just plays every round like he's having a light-hearted round with his mates. Yeah, 66 on Saturday and 82 on Sunday.

Johnny Miller made the call of the day when he pointed out how Pebble is two different courses. Holes 1 - 7 are scoreable; holes 8 - 18 are monsters.
