Do you believe in.......? I'm not trying to go all spirtual or anything cause thats not really my thing...
but this topic has always been very interesting to me and im quite interested in what you all think or if you have had any memorable experiences with this since they say quite a few people can..
My question is DO YOU BELIVE IN REINCARNATION OR HAVING A PAST LIFE?
i have had endless conversations with people on this topic and i find it rather fun and quite a range of knowledge....
unfortunatly for me I do not have any experences that i can speak of where ive remembered having a past life or being reincarnated... but however i truly do belive this is a major possibility and for some people it truly has happened to them...
i truly believe that some people die here before they can complete that one thing they were supposed to do... to be able to move on to what ever plain of exsistance he or she believed had faith in... i also believe people can remember being other things because they took thing in there human life for granted and in turn experienced life as an animal/ ect.
as much as i would love to recall something like this for myself i cant
however my best friend is very much a sensitive and sometime i see alot of phsycic ability in her .. her spirit guide and herself have recalled her past life several times
she said the last time she was born before this life was in 1824 and as a man who had 3 kids and a very controlling wife... he was a black smith type worker
but anyway enough with my rambling on..
i would really like to know what you all think..
if you have any interesting stories of your own i would love to hear them!

Yes, I do.
I also think reincarnation is one of the ways that phobias develop. For example, if in a previous life you fell off a cliff or a building, in you next life, you'd be afraid of heights. If you drowned, next time around you'd be afraid of water. Facebook, I haz it - https://www.facebook.com/Nikster1969

i'll try to say this less cryptic than i usually. I was in awe when a work mate of my stated that we as people are infinite. she pointed out that people are created by certain energies, or in other words we have some sort of energy within us(be it psychic or electricity or whatever) energy never dies it just transforms into something else according to her and well science she states.....she pointed to other things and facts which at the time i can't really remember. personally, i sort of like that idea. reincarnation would be a nice idea, but i'm really sure if its real or not. although i would like to be real. or maybe it is real..or maybe not.... if i was were to reincarnate i would like to be either a tree or an owl. the worse thing to reincarnate as would be a cucumber sandwich, i rather be a lady finger or a philadelphia cheese steak...cause i'll be all melty...

Not in a literal sense. I believe that all life is one (not in a mushy sense, but in a organic sense), so in that sense when we die, we are either eaten or decompose etc, and therefore continue. But although I have a lot of time for buddhist thought, I don't see any truth in reincarnation in the sense that I will come back as another life form.

We're all "waste" eventually, though.
And as for the topic, I'm with vivid. I don't believe any piece of our consciousness (soul, whatever ayone wants to call it) survives beyond death. So no. |

if I'm living some future persons past life as we speak, then that person is getting ripped off as far as past lives go...

Absolutely, in some form.
When our son was three or so, he told us he was a tailgunner on a B-17 and was killed when it got shot down. He went to Heaven, and God told him to choose a new set of parents. He looked and looked for many years until he found us.
There's another kid who had the same story but in incredible detail. They wrote a book about him called "Soul Survivor". He too told his parents he'd previously died in WWII. But this young man knew details about that incident that only the pilot would have known. Oh, and he knew the pilot's name, and the name of his plane, which was only known to the few guys that flew with him.
It's absolutely incredible.
I wish we'd have thought to ask questions of our son like that when he told us his story, but we were so blown away that we didn't think about it.
I don't think everyone gets reincarnated, but I'm positive it's happened at least twice.

My cousin once went to a thing where she got to meet Sylvia Brown, and she told my cousin that this was her last time around, meaning she had been here before, but that this was the last time.
I have heard that people usually get reincarnated, because the first time they lived they did'nt complete something,so they just keep coming back till they get it right. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

Me too! Sylvia Browne has interesting material on this. Also confirms the phobia theory. I sometimes dream of a place I know I have never been in this life. Seems so real and familiar. I do think maybe it was something from a past life. I also think this is my last trip here. I think my lessons are complete. Just a feeling I have. LIVE4LUV

I can't imagine thinking that there is no existance of our soul after this life. I couldn't imagine the hopelessness in thinking that way. I totally think our body is just a shell for our soul. It will perish but our soul will live on forever. Life is like college for your soul. We are here to learn lessons, to gain strength etc. LIVE4LUV

Based on simple arithmetic, there are more people on Earth now than there have ever been. So reincarnation either
A) fails utterly, because there isn't enough of the animus to go around. China would have eaten up all the early souls alone. So that means we'd need more and if they've all been recycled, it couldn't work.
or
B) explains why the human condition is in constant decline, because the souls are divided up into more bodies, leaving space for darker influences i.e. quite literally, The Void.
So it's one of those two. MY COVER OF PRETTY WINGS
