Computer Question: Duplicate Cleaner Software

I downloaded this free software to see how many duplicates I had on my 8 year old Presario XP SP3 notebook: 6, 275 duplicate files. eek I'm a novice and I don't have a clue what I should delete. Has anyone had any experience with this particular software? Thank you in advance.
