Anyone know how to compare the contents of two identical folders???

I copied the location of my music folder from one external HDD to another, now I want to delete the original. Is there an easy way to make sure everything copied correctly to the new folder? There's no way in hell I'm going to check every file in the 140 GB folder. disbelief

Help me Org!

You can either:

Compare the exact size of the folders, if they are identical then they are ok

Or

Open both folders and copy the contents of the original in to the new at which point Vista or 7 will ask you if you want to replace of duplicate the x number of files. If that # of files is the same as the # of files in your original folder then they have copied.

A good rule though is make sure you have an external backup....Phil keeps at least 2...he's anal about that shit. cool
