A wedge is actually what I was thinking. I have a pair of ankle-strap wedges that made it through the Empire day/evening - so I know they'll be comfortable.

And they've fallen out of the booth at Berlin, so all the bad luck is out of them. lol

I am pleased to say that I haven't seen one man at the office in flip flops this year. (I think we finally purged the last of them.) I don't like them on women at the office, either - but they're especially bad on men. As I've said before, I enjoy seeing random hairy toes and crusty soles as much as I enjoy seeing random dick - which is to say, not at all. ill
