The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus

i just got finished watching it on PPV

just the escapism i needed.

from the looks of it, Heath Ledger was able to do most of the scenes. when it came time for the visual effects(not to mention his VERY untimely passing:-( ), that's when Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell stepped in to help.

all in all, i liked it.biggrin clapping

One of the greatest movie's of my generation. It really touched on subjects that I feel humans are losing touch with....

It was very hectic at times, and hard to even hear the dialogue clearly. It's very interesting visually, but some parts of the story seem a bit forced or thin. It was very hard to follow at times. I had to read about the plot online to fill in the blanks.

When Johnny Depp stepped in, it was very much a double take for me. He looks so much like Heath, and can act just like him, I really had to look hard to know if it was Heath or not. I knew the imaginarium parts were going to have the other actors in them, so I was waiting for that to pop up.

Still an interesting movie.

I loved this movie! The first time Heath appears on screen was quite odd to watch as well (him hanging under London Bridge) but glad they left it in anyway. I didn't notice any issues with the dialogue though....I think it's actually better with different actors playing Tony in the Imaginarium as it adds to the surrealism.

Visionary director. But the screenplay could use some work.

Not here either. It's coming to DVD soon. I found my copy online to give it a whirl first.

I'll check it out the moment it's released on DVD here, but this one I really wanted to see on a big screen.
