Oddly enough, I was just looking at recipes for bacon brittle. I want to make peanut butter and bacon brittle ice cream.

There will be no turkey in it. disbelief

I believe it is something called, "textured soy protein."

Hmm, it's really not that far fetched. What you are speaking of is more like frying fish in pork grease...but it's just turkey instead of pork. You know how some people fry turkeys at Thanksgiving instead of putting them in the oven for 50 billion hours?? Sort of like that.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Oh yes. Loads of places sell it. In fact, I saw it over the weekend in World Market. My brother-in-law is a bacon fiend, so I bought a bar of it for him a year or so ago. He said it was atrocious.

"Why sizzle fat when you can Sizzlean?" I hated that commercial. From what I recall, it wasn't turkey bacon, but just a more lean sausage (I think?).

What's Sizzlean?

According to the annoying advert from the long ago, it calls it a tasty breakfast strip.

Whatever that is. I was young and my mom would buy it instead of real bacon.

I do not want to know what it was made out of.
