Oh I remember when these were two of the hottest shows on television. We had such high hopes for the year 2000 and beyond back then, lol.

Remember?

We used to get out in the backyard and play "Six Million Dollar Man" and "Bionic Woman", noises and all! lol

I had the Jamie Somers action figure. She used to kick Barbie's ass! She had big, flat feet, so she could stand, and she was slightly bigger. It used to piss me off because Barbie's clothes didn't fit her. But she had a better car than Barbie's Vette. wink

I do. It was my favourite show. I had a 'Bionic Boy' t-shirt at 6yo. Wallpaper, the doll. I loved it. I remember being upset and scared when the 'Venus probe' beat the shit out of Steve. Traumatic.

I also remember the Six Million Dollar man Vs The Seven Million Dollar Man battling it out on some obstacle course type thing. I've never revisited it since i was a kid, i'm not going to spoil the memories either.

woot!

I haven't searched for them on the internet in a long time but I searched for them last year and I only saw them available on DVD from overseas which was some sort of different format than what we have in the States.

I don't have the DVD's, but I did watch both series when the SciFi Channel (I don't think I'll ever be able to call it "SyFy" with a straight face) ran them a few years back when I had cable. While both shows definitely show their age, The Six Million Dollar Man held up better IMO. Probably because it had a bit more action in it.

Maximillion. a.k.a. The Bionic Dog.

First appeared (1977). Two part episode on the Bionic Woman. Returned (1977).

Areas which were bionic.

1. Four legs. Capable of moving at speeds up to 90 mph (144.84 km/h)

2. Jaw. Exact figures unknown. Estimated strength (3000 p.s.i.)

Reason for bionic operation.

Fire.

Cost in dollars (U.S. 2006) to rebuild him. $3,421,274.59

Yeah, but the bloom was off the rose by then. Me and my brothers used to do the "nanananananana" sound effect all the time in the 70s when we chased each other or fake fought. Good times.

I wold have rather had Jamie's bionic ear than Steve's bionic eye.

I loved it when they ran together.

Sandra Bullock got out of her wheelchair, and was the bionic girl, I remember.

Whoever thought of, and produced, that sound effect was a GENIUS! From the time that show first aired, you accepted THAT sound as the sound of "Bionics".
