What did you want to be when you grew up?

do you ever look back in time to when you were an innocent kid? Do you remember playing make believe( house )with friends or climbing up into that tree house? and pretending you were a super hero or barbie or just a specific person in a profession (DR., Fireman, nurse, hair dresser ect.)?

when I look back at my innocent times I always remember saying "when I grow up" I'm gonna be a actress, singer... I wanted to be just like (Mariah Carey)...

I just always look back at those times and have such a revilance of how I so took those "innocent" times for granted...

Did any of you actually become what you said you were gonna be when you grew up?

*If you did thats just damn magical* obviously you just were damn serious with yourself!

and last but not least if you didnt become what you said you were gonna be as a kid..

what profession did you decide afterall to be? *only if you wanna share*

MY answer: I decided at about 16 that beauty was what really interested me... I am now a cosmetologist biggrin (maybe now that I look back as a child all the dressing up was what influenced me) it just took me a while to realize it...

insatiable3: how can i cure my hangover?
whistle: getting drunk is for teenagers. shoot heroin like an adult.... falloff

I guess nod I'm attracted to working in a pharmacy someday and knowing about all the substances people take. I'm just a bit scared by all the chemistry I'm gonna have to learn. I also intend to start ballroom dancing in the city where I'm considering to go study... I want to devote myself to that as well.

Thanks for the input hug

A while back, when I still worked at that oppressive private school, they made us do those team-building exercises during a staff development day. confused

The question around the circle was: "If you were not in education right now, what else would you like to do?"

- My sister (who used to work there, too) said: "Collecting carts at the Supermarket."

- The Phys. Ed. teacher said: "Porn Star".

- The next person gave another smart-ass answer.

The Principal got so mad, she stopped the exercise and called us unprofessional. falloff

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be an attorney. Now I am going to school for my BS in legal studies. Hopefully after school is done I can get a job in a law firm as a paralegal. After that goal, it's Law School! I would like to work in Family Law when it's all done. biggrin

It's really important for me to have enough time for both education and developing my talents and doing what I love.

From the age of 8, I wanted to be an actress. It's the only thing I've ever really wanted to be in my whole life.

I'm lucky that I've realized my dream - even if I don't make my living doing it.

when I was really little I wanted to be a nurse. then I discovered I didn't like to see things that caused pain because I would imagine that I felt it.

so whenI turned 12, I switched and wanted to be a child psychologist.

after many years I finally made it wink
