So I just watched this film. 'Liked' or 'enjoyed' don't feel the right words, but I thought it was very good. I was a little put off watching a movie that starred Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson, but they both put on good performances. That they are both actresses known for doing chick-flicks makes their scenes even more shocking. It is very violent at times but I didn't find it to be gratuitous. I usually find killer/psychopath movies very tacky and almost exploitative but this one is different. Casey Affleck is such an underrated actor!

Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Anyone not going to see it because of the violence?

I really want to see this - Casey Affleck is awesome - loved him in that Jesse James film.

I'm intrigued.

Yep it is very violent, not much more than what you'd see in most horror films or even action films but becuase they haven't stylised it at all it feels so much worse.

Anyway, it IS a very good film, just wasn't that keen on the ending...

Yeah me too, and Gone Baby Gone as well. He's so good in this movie, the reviews over here have been been positive about his performance but quite critical of the film because of the violence. I guess that's what the director was aiming for though; to get that discussion going.
