What kind of stupid people first of all leave their guns in drawers that obviously any child is curious about? And then after the child finds it, puts it BACK in the same fucking place???? I swear, some people aren't fit to be parents.

2-year-old finds mom’s gun, kills himself

Zaire Cameron died after he was accidentally shot.

A 2-year-old Milwaukee boy died Sunday after accidentally shooting himself in the face after finding his mother’s handgun in a dresser drawer, according to WTMJ-TV (Channel 4).

The tragedy occurred in the 3600 block of N. 4th Street.

Officials say Zaire Cameron was in a bedroom with two other children watching a movie Sunday before the incident occurred, WTMJ-TV reported.

His mother and father had been in a separate room and rushed in when they heard the gunshot.

Zaire was slumped over the end of the bed with the gun lying next to him.

According to the medical examiner’s report, which was obtained by the TV station, the boy’s mother had caught him playing with the gun a day before, punished the boy and then placed the gun back in the same drawer.

Both the mother and father own a handgun for protection.

when my husband owned a rifle he always kept the bolt and ammo away from the gun....

this was even before our very stringent gun laws came into effect (after Port Arthur )

When the new laws came in he (legally) gave the rifle to his friend.

The NRA is just too powerful. I seriously don't know what to do. We march all the damned time in Chicago. All to no avail. Here there are so many shootings of school children it's like a part of city life. But what to do when all the criminals have guns and no one else? I hate them...I think they all should be melted down.

America is a violent country for sure. Not too long ago a retired Marine shot and killed a young man who lived next door just because the young man's little dog peed on his award-winning grass. I miss the days of plain old fist fights.

not like today, where ppl are kicked in the head when they have fallen down, not by one person, but groups
