I may be the only person that thought that movie was funny, but I laughed my butt off at it!

luv4u, the next time you are provoked, instead of lashing out, remind your provoker to be loving and openhearted with your emotions. Here's a handy acronym to help you remember this:
B.L.O.W.M.E.
Even easier, you can just make a compression: "BLOWME".

RodeoSchro, you are not the only one. Humor is the sugar-coating that makes the film's inspirational mesage descend into your belly with a warm and fuzzy bizzy-buzzy.

I think you may be right. I kept waiting for that movie to be funny. I'm firmly planted in denial

That's why I'm here. | |

I will totally repeat this in my head during meetings in which I want to beat people. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Didja know he'd never ice-skated in his life before training for this movie? Pretty fucking impressive! Never seen him in anything else, but he was good in this.

That is very impressive.
He's been in "Baby Mama", "40-Year Old Virgin" and "Blades of Glory" I'm firmly planted in denial

Oh, wait a minute - I did see him in the few minutes of 40-Year-Old Virgin I saw on TV.
I dig 'im! | |

He starred in the tv show Weeds too. Have you ever seen the show Ace? "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

No. Aside from Woody Allen - unless we're talkin' just flat-out comedy - I can't really watch fiction anymore.

LOL, I thought I was the only one that still said THAT!
I love this thread! I'm learning that I'm not alone in my idiosyncracies!

I'd never heard that expression before. Where's it from?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
The late 60's or early 70's, LOL.
I'm not sure of the exact origination, but it refers to teen heart throb Bobby Sherman. I remember him ruling the world when I was in 6th grade.

I remember Bobby Sherman (mostly from The Partridge Family). But I don't get it.

All I could find on the Internets is that the phrase became popular in the '60's and '70's.
I did find this, though: These days, Bobby is a reserve officer with the Los Angeles Police Department and the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department where he teaches CPR.
I've asked the experts on that site about the origination and will post the answer here.

Best answer so far: Bobby Sherman signed his autographs "Peace & Love. Bobby Sherman".
