Show your face and show your boobs but never together in the same pic and you'll be fine.

Not to dampen anyone's boob high... smile but does anyone remember that underwire bra/cancer scare a few years back?

http://ezinearticles.com/...;id=513187

Was this disproven?

There has been striking evidence that women who wear restrictive bra's 24hours a day are 125 times more likely to develop breast cancer than women who do not wear bras at all. A woman that wears a bra more than 12 hours a day has a 1 in 7 chance of Breast Cancer; whereas a woman who wears one for less than 12 hours has a 1 out of 152 chance. A woman who rarely wears on has a 1 out of 168 chance.

Tight clothing inhibits the exact functioning of the lymphatic system (an internal network of vessels that flushes wastes and toxins from the body) which can lead to a build up of carcinogenic compounds in the constricted areas.

Other than not wearing a bra, alternative suggestions could be to replace the under-wired bra with a good sports bra (with a thick band around the bottom, but not too tight); the invisible support camisoles or yoga tops or simply removing the wire from your bra's.

I'm small-breasted and don't wear a bra that often; I'd never heard of the above theory but it seemed sort of logical and intrigued me, so I went and found the following on cancer.org:

"There are no scientifically valid studies that show wearing bras of any type causes breast cancer.

The email appears to be based on the writings of a husband and wife team of medical anthropologists who link breast cancer to wearing a bra. The two anthropologists suggested this association in a book called Dressed to Kill. Their study was not conducted according to standard principles of epidemiological research and did not take into consideration other variables, including known risk factors for breast cancer.

We know of only one scientifically-conducted epidemiologic study that investigated a possible link between bra use and breast cancer. This study suggested that breast cancer might be less common among women who do not wear bras than among bra wearers. However, breast cancer risk in the two groups was not significantly different, according to standard statistical criteria, and the researchers themselves expressed uncertainty regarding this correlation. They also noted that if there is any connection, it would most likely have occurred indirectly, because women who are obese or have larger breasts are less likely to go braless. Obesity has been identified by numerous studies as a breast cancer risk factor, and having large breasts has been suggested in some studies as increasing breast cancer risk for young women who are not overweight.

We do not know of any epidemiologic studies published in scientific journals that suggest bras directly contribute to breast cancer risk or that lymphatic compression by bras might cause breast cancer.

Regardless of the size of a woman's breast and whether she is slim or heavy, there is no convincing epidemiologic evidence that her choices regarding bra use will influence her breast cancer risk. Furthermore, the alleged mechanism suggested in the book and in chain e-mails (blocked lymphatic vessels causing toxins to accumulate) is inconsistent with scientific concepts of breast physiology and pathology."

So, apparantly it's bunk. I admit I was wondering who authored the text quoted from ezinearticles.com -- all the misuse of 's dinged the credibility a bit for me.

I admit that was not a reputable article. There were studies done and I remember hearing about this on ABC news a few years ago. Just never followed up on it and wondered if anyone knew of updates. I'll look around.

You really answered the question yourself there. lol

As for the question - every woman is different, dude. What one likes the next might not. And if someone says "ow" you're squeezing too hard. Unless they want to say "ow". They might.

I read it. I just got distracted cooking dinner. And I knew I'd read somewhere about a Harvard study that gave some credence to the claim and I was going to see if I could look it up later.

You know it could be a huge conspiracy by Victoria's Secret and BIG BRA to keep us from knowing the real truth!!!! nuts wink

For me bras are never comfortable. I never wore one until I was in my mid 30s. Now I do, but as soon as I am home alone I take it off immediately.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I was wearing a dress yesterday. It has a generous cleavage, but not in a trashy way.

Kinda like this:

[img:$uid]http://www.mylifetime.com/files/imagecache/photo_gallery_featured/files/images/bs-395x298-cleavage.jpg[/img:$uid]

I was sitting at a cafe, working some papers when a man gets up from his chair diagonally to me and changes the table with his lady friend. He is about 60, white hair, respectable and polite looking.

On the way, he comes up really close to me and with a not-so-quiet and discrete voice he announces to the cafe:

"Careful or your lungs will fall out."

What a fucking dick. rolleyes
