WHY ARE ALMOST ALL CELEBRITY MARRIAGES FAILING??? First, Tiger Woods. Then Jesse James and now Mike Nilon..(to discuss Mike Nilon, go to DesireeNevermind's thread http://prince.org/msg/100...?&pg=1)
What is up with these people? How come these marriages are falling apart? Can't famous people find love and stay together?
What's going on with these new celebrity marriages? It seems to be a recent, growing trend that the man (husband) is responsible for the marriage falling apart through infidelity (although the woman (wife) is just as capable of infidelity as the man. No sexism on my part here. I'm just stating an observation) . Eh...I don't know
I'd like to here some opinion from you good people on this matter. This is an issue that has been bothering me for some time....and I really don't know what to make of it.

You know whose marriage I care about? Mine if I ever have one.
Marriages fail every day. Celebrities are no different from the rest of us.

Seems like you have to ask those divorced celebrity couples WHY they married the person they did in the first place.

A. The couples are incompatible.
B. Being rich and famous causes people to become self-centered.
Take your pick. | |

Part of me ( a tiny part ) understands why people invest time in wondering about other's relationship failures
I just have little interest/desire in it and usually the thought that comes up for me about "celebs" and their bullcrap is "Who cares"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
NONE of me, none, zip, zero understands it.
And the first thing that came to my mind to post was: who tha fuck cares?

Absloutly!
I don't even meddle in my friends' business or get attached to their personal life emotionally anymore, there's price to be paid by doing doing that.

The only time that I pay attention to what celebs ae doing is when I read a thread about them on the org.
Celebs never interested me personally. Too much going on my life to worry about ppl outside of friends and family.
From what I have read about celebs in threads on the org, the women that divorce the men are gold digging bitches if they ask for large amounts of money. Even when the man has been sticking his dick in other women any chance he gets.

Celebrities are no different from the rest of us. Some marriages are good, solid, based on agreement that they are committed through thick and thin, and some are not. Certainly nothing to be losing any sleep over, everyone's relationship is their own headache, not yours. Makes for good water cooler conversation though, but beyond that, pssshaw! I also think that labling "almost all celebrity marriages" as failing a stretch...I mean, do we really know how many celebrity marriages there are and well, why should we care.
Know what? Don't look to the folks in the limelight to be role models (unless that's a chosen torch they're carrying, marketing, and being paid for).At the end of they day, every move they make in the public is a result of carefully crafted smoke and mirrors, and trust me, they fart, belch, and have doo doo stains in their underwear just like the rest of the people on the planet. No need to hold them to higher a standard (again, unless they appoint themselves into that role, or are paid to do it, etc. etc.). They are imperfect creatures, who act willfully and ridiculously just like the rest of us; they only have the benefit of better hair & make-up, and filtered lighting to make it appear less messy than what we're used to seeing day to day [Edited 6/2/10 7:25am]

There you go, makin' sense again. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Hell, NON celebrity marriages end up in divorce 50% of time after 7 years, celeb marriages are bound to be higher.
Ya got TWO nut cases to deal with

Yeah, I don't get that either. I mean, a press release to announce a break up/split/divorce/whatever? Really? • Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.
