Going for a walk by myself

Sometimes reading

Sometimes music

Breathing right and lying down in a dark room

Hanging out with friends

It used to help pout

How do you all relieve stress?

I rarely have need to, these days. I've slowed down and simplified my life and I try to remember that worry's only effect is negative. I've gotten much, much better with stress. Therapy has certainly been a help with that!

Q: How do you eat an elephant ?

A: One bite at a time.

An old friend/therapist told me this an explained, when you have alot to do daily just take it a moment at a time.

Even relaxing, when you are in decompression mode, forget everything and focus on the now.

Touch is healing with people who run them selves ragged.

Geting your hair washed even if its by a friend or lover is awesome, that or getting your feet rubbed.

I hope it helps. It did for me to change my frame of mind, you see, while I would try to relax my mind would still race and I would never find moments of peace at all.

I was drained ALL the time.

So the first thing I had to learn about reclaiming me was when I was relaxing, I had to stop thinking about stuff I had to do or stuff that didn't get done.

Thinking about nothing is hard at first but once you do it, then you can be in the here and now at what ever you do, and the stress lessens more and more.

Take good care of you beautiful! rose

Oh good for you. Trips away always help.

I need to find a way to relieve stress. Dr says stress does not help the problem with my ear.

this is exactly what I'm trying to do, cause I'm the queen of worriers and get so sad too and paranoid and everything. In the past year I've been trying so hard to make changes, cause I was already a stressed out person.
