Went out to dinner with friends on Friday and heard a band play. Saturday I slept in (), relaxed in the afternoon, window-shopped, then went out to dinner Saturday night. (We went to this restaurant owned by Mario Batali...it was okay, but as vegetarians, the choices were a little meager.) Yesterday we got up early, went to Central Park and laid out for a couple hours. More window shopping. Repotted some plants. (Trying to fight a gnat infestation in my fledgling herb garden, only to discover the potting soil I purchased is the culprit. ) Today I am up early because I have to give tours at the museum where I volunteer. Nothing planned for the afternoon, then my friend who just got back from 2 months in NZ is coming over to catch up (since we couldn't do it properly on Friday).

The only drag from the weekend is that we had to spend $700 on a new wall unit air conditioner. (They are substantially more expensive than window a/c's.) And they can't come take out the broken one (damn you Frigidaire!) and install the new one until Thursday, so it's getting quite stuffy and hot in here, despite having 2 fans going. Today is supposed to be in the upper 80s and humid. I hate hate hate being hot. I am trying to focus on the fact I'll be in a heavily air conditioned museum most of the day.

Thats the thing with Gemini's they know too many people and have there hands in a lot of different pies that sometimes we spead ourselves out too much. I think next year i will be keeping my birthday quiet
