How Do You Customize Your Computer?

I use a Mac, but my laptop (which I tend to be on more) is my PC. I'm all about finding the quickest way possible to get to whatever I need. I move my taskbar to the top of my screen and use RocketDock at the bottom (I formerly used Yz Dock, but for some reason I stopped using it).

I customize my Start Menu with one letter shortcuts, as seen in the picture below. I can just hit the Windows button my keyboard, then the corresponding letter (I for iTunes, Z for MixMeister, B for Digsby). Some letters I had to compromise on for whatever reason. (R is taken for Run, D is for My Recent Documents, U is for Turn Off Computer, etc). I use the start menu and dock pretty much equally, depending on my rhythm of doing stuff at that moment. I also use a lot of keyboard shortcuts like the cut/copy/paste stuff, undo:

(I resized the picture down, and didn't bother to sharpen it, hence the blur.)

Ooh, I like some of these!

I threw in a bunch of separators in a row on my Firefox bookmarks toolbar, 'cause I wanted to have some bookmarks in the middle of the bar. Other than that? Uh, I got some shortcuts 'n' shit. shrug

P.S. What's the advantage of RocketDock over plain, ol' shortcuts on the taskbar?

I have a habit of using a Dock because of being on a Mac. Actually I had Yz Dock before I had a Mac so I was already in that "mode". I've just always used a Dock, because it's easy for me.

Whoops! Didn't see the boldface!

But - aside from the aesthetics - is there any difference between that and shortcuts on a taskbar?

I just like this one better. I have never really used the quick launch. Plus I hate the mere aesthetic of Windows in general.
