Initially, they only suspected her father and harassed and abused and shattered his psyche till he confessed to raping and drowning his 3 year old.


The true killer was a burglar/sex offender out on parole at the time.

Yeah, I hate the whole interrogation process too. Sometimes, it's almost like they just want to bully someone, anyone into confessing just to close the case. Must've been a nightmare for him to go through that and have the whole world accusing you the whole time.

It's not usually just down to the people in the room though. They have so much pressure put on them from people higher up the ladder. It can be very frustrating seeing guilty people walk free that they feel like that have to resort to these tactics. Especially in an area as emotionally charged as rape and murder. Not saying that makes it okay, but just that it's a much bigger problem that everyone in the legal processes contributes to.
