When my husband was alive, we owned a 1998 Mercury Moutaineer and legally I still own the car, but due 2 moving a couple of times over the past year the original Car Title somehow got lost in transition. Anyway, when my husband died, I had 2 sort out a few legal things 2 do with the car such as getting the Registration Stickers and changing the Title over 2 my name(first of all I had 2 apply for a duplicate Title in my husbands name, then it had 2 b transferred over 2 my name). The Dept of Transport in Minnesota said that the new title would arrive in 3 months time from the inital application date. In the meantime I am over in the UK right now spending time regrouping and greiving the loss of my husband and reassessing my future with them as a single woman.

Anyway, I have had all my mail in the USA redirected over 2 me in the UK, and lo and behold, the new Car Title was in amongst all the mail that was delivered to me last week!!! The car is in possession of the new owners who are gonna pay me for the car once they have the new Title as I am selling the car, mainly because when I return back 2 the USA as I have some work prospects over there(offered to me by the new car owner who owns a Publishing Company with offices around the world), I do not want 2 drive this huge tank around as its only me driving it now!!!

The thing is, can anyone tell me which parts of the Title do I sign in the transaction process?? Theres a Section on the front of the Title called Assignment By Seller(Transferor) which has a Seller Signature, also in red theres an Applicant/Buyers Signature(s) All Must Sign section. Both of these sections have an X indicating where 2 sign. But on the back of the Title theres a section titled Reassignment By Licensed Dealer Only and theres 4 places where the Seller and the Buyer have 2 sign as well!! Do I have 2 sign there as well in the Sellers section???

I have 2 sign all my parts before I can mail the Title off 2 the new Buyer!!
