Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy's Widower, Found Dead

Simon Monjack, the husband of late actress Brittany Murphy, was found dead Sunday night in his Hollywood Hills , according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The screenwriter was found in the master bedroom at the house he once shared with Murphy. The cause of death is being investigated.

"We have detectives at scene," Sgt. Louie Lozano told the Los Angeles Times. "They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it."

According to TMZ sources within the police department, Monjack was discovered by Murphy's mother, Sharon.

Murphy was found dead Dec. 20 in her bathroom by Monjack. The final coroner's report, released Feb. 23, states that she had "elevated levels" of Vicodin and drugs from over-the-counter cold medicine in her system, but no illegal substances. She was 32.

That poor man, all the pics of him after his wife died he looked a downright mess; packed on the pounds, looked totally lost...lawd, I'm getting married, and the thought that anything could ever happen to my man...I don't think I could bear it

Totally agree. Something very odd about all of this (unless it was a suicide that is). But they stated "natural causes" Well I guess a heart attack from too much coke could be considered natural???

There is nothing odd here and no need to speculate. Brittany had a heart condition and her husband was an epileptic, if either of them had dared touch cocaine they could be killed on the spot...and for the record, her mother is battling cancer again right now (she barely survived the last bout with it), and just lost her own mother on top of all this so that's a really crappy thing to say about her.
