I have friends that used to live in Salt Lake. You can go to the bowling alley for a drink. But if you go to a bar, you have to be someone's guest. Someone that is registered there. Someone that lives there.

Or you can bring your own alcohol with you.

I haven't been there for about 5 years, so the laws may have changed.

Overall Salt Lake City sounds like a dreadfully boring place to me, but then again I'm from Central Florida and I'm currently in Bangkok

But you can always make the best use of were you are and I would imaging the above is a good place to start. There's probably Olympic facilities to tour there too (where the Olympics recently held there?).

When I was there they had this whole thing going where you couldn't get hard liquor on certain days or before certain times and it had to be at a "private club" which meant if you found a place there would be a fee to "join" that club or some ridiculous crap like that.

I watched some of the worst stand up comedy EVERRRRR just because I could get my drank on at this one place.

Did I mention it's clean there?
