I've never watched any of the film renditions, but this book:
is one of the best books I've ever read. It's the ultimate revenge story, and he gets his foes back in spades. It's written by Dumas who wrote the 3 Musketeers so the plot isn't exactly the most realistic, but it doesn't really matter---it's a tour de force of kickass.

I just recently watched this remake with Jim Caviezel. Great revenge movie. One review from Rotten Tomatoes... ... in a marketplace littered with films that studios have unloaded to make a buck or two... "The Count of Monte Cristo" stands out like a treasure chest half-buried in the sand. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

That's not a revenge movie, is it? [Edited 5/24/10 22:09pm] Yes it is. If you're one of the Sith, you're revenging!

Despite the title, it was the Jedi who should have been seeking revenge . . . The Sith weren't defeated or dethroned from ruling the Republic. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
