I have a favor to ask all of you! This is very important to me and to Will and I ask that you take the time to vote for him in the VHI Do Something Awards.
Will is the most tenacious human being I have ever met. His mother had him at the tender age of 16 and shortly after that she had 2 other children to provide for. They were homeless, living in their car until one day Will was found by someone and taken care of. Since then he has become a scholar and worked so hard that he received a full scholarship to Brown University. He is the first person in his family to graduate from high school and he is now studying to be a doctor. Will started working in our lab and I've seen and watched him grow in the 5 years he has been with us. Just a few years ago he created a Public Health and Education Program in La Caye, Haiti, training community health workers ranging in age from 16 through 21, all of whom are orphans. To date, this program has provided direct treatment for over 1,200 patients. I could go on and on about this young man, there aren't enough kind words to say about him. I ask that you please take 5 minutes out of your day to register with VH1 and vote for Will Perez. He's come so far and has helped so many people, this will help so much more if he wins!!
