For her, a movie is not a movie with out her orange chicken from panda express. So, I know when I go with her, we are getting some fierce stares.

I hope you at least throw your trash out when you leave instead of leaving it on the floor. I worked in a movie theater one summer - worst job ever - and the nasty shit people would leave in the theater was revolting: dirty diapers, chicken bones, etc. Humans are disgusting. What about the crappy,over-priced food that they actually sell at the movie theatre? Cheesy nachos,$5.00 hot dogs and yucky popcorn with weird, melted butter all over it? Is this better than bringing in your own food?

I never understood why popcorn was the snack of choice for cinemas, couldn't they find a cheaper, quieter alternative? I read somewhere some cinemas have banned popcorn or other noisey foods. I always leave my rubbish in a bag on the floor because they don't have any bins in the cinema and I don't want to carry my rubbish around with me until I find one

I hate eating popcorn at the movies. It's a buttery, salty mess and it gets stuck in between your teeth I prefer soft sandwhiches.

btw,we have one movie theatre in my town where you don't have to "sneak" food in.They don't mind if you bring food. It's in a strip mall near alot of fast food restaurants. They assume that people are gonna bring food in anyway,so they don't make a big deal about it,lol.

So when you all go to fairs and festivals do you not buy that food as well? ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

So true! It's only microwave food anyway...and the cheese from the nachos comes out of that nasty crusty metal machine that food is barely edible

The smell of movie theater popcorn makes me feel kind of sick (thanks to the summer I worked at the theater and came home smelling like it every single night). I don't understand why people feel they have to eat when watching a movie anyway. Can't people go for 2 hours without stuffing their faces? Another reason Americans are overweight I suppose. We love to sit on our asses, watch mind-numbing "entertainment", and stuff our faces. That's not really my scene. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

No. I go to the movies much more often than I do amusement parks, carnivals, or festivals so the "getting food at the theater is part of the experience" thing gets old. Plus festivals and fairs have much better, and harder to find elsewhere, junk food than the movie theater. The only food that you get at the theater that you can't get some other place and bring it in is popcorn and nachos. And that's not that worth it. I can buy 4-7 packs of candy of the same size or bigger at the dollar store for the same price I'd pay at the concession. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

For the most part, the food at county fairs is reasonably priced. And it actually tastes good So no need to sneak in any food at these places

I understand why cinemas sell it, but I was talking about the consumer. A bar of chocolate is cheaper than a box of popcorn and a lot quieter to eat.

I guarantee you that it was a black person. I hate that - the aroma of chicken in the theater. The rattling of food wrappers from food that isnt packaged for a movie theater (movie food typically comes in cardboard boxes or paper that doesnt make alot of noise to disturb people trying to hear the film.)

OMG State fairs!!!!!
My heart is literally aching in my chest with the desire to go to the Big E right this fuckin second. Y'all don't know about that outside of New England. But the shit is beautiful. The Eastern States Exposition! It's like puttin 12 state fairs together. With parades and rides and food and vendors and live performances. It never gets old. I may go annually until I die.
