So I Went to This Kickbox Training Yesterday for The 1st Time..

And it was pitiful to say the least disbelief all this time I thought I was a good fighter(all of the street fighting techniques I knew were thrown outta the window).

My feet, my ankles, my fists, my shoulders and my back are ALL having a fuckin' civil war right now rolleyes I can't even get off the car without a dramatic slow motion effect.

I'll stay doing this course NOT out of improving my kickboxing mind you, but I'm setting my heart & mind on kicking this motherfucker's ass who went in on me yesterday(and I WILL) mad yeah I know, wrong attitude neutral lol

If anybody have any tips for me about kickboxing, please be free to share.

I've only done it as exercise, like aerobics, and it was a lot of fun & made my ass sweat. I was tired all over, head to toe. But it gives you a more powerful feeling than yoga, even though it was similar in its completeness.

I've thought about doing the real thing, actual fighting techniques hmmm

Well, the reason why I'm in such a sad shape lol is because I haven't taken the yoga exercise before it(I came later).

It was adviced to take yoga for flexibility and in my case, healing. I might've kept this in mind had I not been so damn hasty lol

For me, it released ALOT of tension as opposed to feel powerful,,,,,I mean good god, I felt alot of things yesterday but POWERFUL is not one of them disbelief

yeah I should do more yoga, I am not flexible at all.

I'm sure if I was doing kickboxing against someone I wouldn't feel powerful either! lol But when you're just punching air you can imagine a lot easier

Yeah, I'm co-signing with you in theory, but in action, I'm a COMPLETE narcissist boxed and beside Miss Desiree, we can have this convo when somebody 1/4 your size mop the floor with your ass with 20+ group of people snickering and shit hammer lol

All jokes aside though, it was a damn good work out session and I'd be a liar if I said I didn't get out of that without something nod Nobody can tell me I can't take an ass whoopin' after that lol

falloff Fighting technique, skills and sometimes confidence can go out the window when you come up against a truly fierce opponent for the first time. Keep it up tho. If you're incentive to get better is for payback then so be it but always stay in control. I'm feeling sorry for this person already. lol And the bruising and soreness is no joke.

I'm incorporating yoga and pilates in my conditioning after being off for a year and I'm simultaneously excited and dreading my first encounter.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

It felt like rocks where thrown on my body the minute I opened the shower this morning disbelief lol

I was joking though, kicking his ass is a BIG motivation but my main objective is the long run. When meds couldn't help me with my depression, I found working out to be a GREAT remedy, its def a lifestyle that I'm trying to live up to.

Many a night I've gone to bed smelling like Tiger Balm. Do you bathe in epsom salt? It helps me sleep better than ever. I sleep hard too, like I've been knocked out. lol But yeah I think it helps with depression and stress big time and I think it can be an amazing push for women in particular.

You're awesome for intending to go back. I interviewed an ex-boxer/current coach for the paper years ago. When I asked him what the advantage is to bein southpaw, the 68-year old demonstrated his jab. Lightly. And chipped my front tooth.

Crazy old bat.

Oh and Harlepolis was it your trainer that was sparring with you? Or just another student? At a lot of gyms, a trainer embarrassing a student who has no intent to even being an amateur fighter would be considered unprofessional.

A student. The trainer chose one of his seasoned trainees and put him against me.

I don't think it was an attempt to embarrass me though as much as it was a demonstration and a TEST, what I didn't mention earlier was that ALL of the newcomers went through the same thing.

Its a serious session, he was testing me whether I was ready for the outcome or going to fled the scene the minute my ego gets shot to hell lol thank god my stubborness could be used into something constructive for a change, because I'll be there tonight, the night after, and so on UNTILL I know how to master this.

Aside from the depression cure, my motor skills need some work too,,,and this course could provide alot for me.

Well that's good. The only way to get better is to train more so the stubborness will help lol Also, making sure to eat good quality food and getting your rest will help your body repair itself.
