My 13-year-old daughter hates me, but there is no way I'm letting her have a Facebook account.

The risks so far outweigh the rewards.

Bingo. And it's amazing that many people put their cell phone number
up on Facebook and advertise when they are going on vacation. There
was a guy who's home was robbed last year after he posted on Facebook
that he was going to be out of town. It amazes me that people don't
choose to send a private email to a friend in lieu of posting personal
info on their wall.

True and another thing people need to remember is that Google is basically a recorder as it records what you've typed, on sites you visited and participated in.

All anyone has to do is type your username in the Google Search box and loads of threads you participated in on the org will pop up. It may even show your myspace address, if you use the same name here. Another thing is people putting their pictures on FB. If you want privacy, then don't post your pics.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside
