Decorating Help The other day at a garage sale, I picked up some white mattes for picture framing.
One matte was 11" x 14", and had four 2" x 2" squares in the middle. Very artsy. I'm just stumped as to what put in all four squares. I don't want to do family pictures. I'd rather do something original, or arty. I've thought about kanji symbols. I've thought about Prince symbols (although stuff like the SOTT symbols only had three), or even one word each. I thought of Emancipations "Life, Love, and Liberty" thing, but again, three not four. So what, if anything, do you think would look good in it? | |

Well if you wanted to go with words in a Prince inspired theme you could always put Dance,Music,Sex,Romance. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach | |

Swatches of a cool vintage fabric would be neat...
Dried leaves or flowers... your favorite concert tickets... give a piece of paper to your friends and let them draw something for you... Pages from a favorite book... a collage of your favorite things... ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~ | |

Do four little collages. 
You can do very modern/minimal ones by getting some paint sample squares from the Home Depot and arranging them in compositions that you like. | |
