I am curious as to what the purpose or point to these piercings? It must be very uncomfortable ...and I am wondering if they have clip ons for people that just want to try it but not actually pierce it.

I am not a woman, but the female piercing looks more painful than anything a man could get done (not that piercing a penis wouldn't hurt)

Generally it's for either sexual stimulation or aesthetics. Almost all professional piercing studios will do them, but they tend to cost more to pierce than other body parts.
