Do you think it's an act.

It seems so over-the-top and exagerrated. Like he's doing it for attention. I have seen some pretty gay people in my life though, and I'd say he's an extreme example.

There's a few guys like that here in Bangkok lol
falloff

But in Bangkok, these stereotypes don't lead to fag-bashing. sad

OK, this question is not aimed specifically at you Jason, but all orgers and the greater gheymunity at large.

Is your dislike of this guy because he is so fey, or is it because he's a jabbermouth?

I think his voice is so damn annoying! shake

Plus, his over-the-top, ridiculous presentation makes me think he needs to get out of that room and stop trying so hard to be liked.

What about this guy? lol

I actually think he's quite hilarious in places. And often speaks the truth. lol

Quote fey though, but I like his fashion advice. I'm shocked he's giving it
in that sweater.

I just got a chance to listen to him... he's not over the top. He's a little dramatic, but his advice isn't bad... (except insert Crocs in for Doc Martens lol)

That other fool, squealing and carrying on... mad

There was a hairdresser at my friend's shop who tried to be "THE MOST GHEY" he could be. He'd come up with dumb phrases like, "How DARE yooooou?" and wear it out. rolleyes He also practiced his "runway walk" back and forth thru the shop.
All that shit isn't necessary. talk to the hand

I totally agree.
My best friend is gay (and not in that annoying liberal "I have Black friends" way- we've been close since 1st grade), and he and I talk about this kind of stuff all the time. He gets embarrassed when guys act like that around him.
We always wonder what that act is supposed to accomplish... confuse

It's not anything-bashing to not want to be around this dude. I couldn't do it. I would seriously lose my cool around him. There are dudes that are feminine by nature. I'm more feminine than Ron (who practically "passes" for straight) but nowhere near that dude. Lawdhammerceee not even when I was in drag did I conduct myself like that. lol

I have very mixed feelings about folk "putting it on" to that degree. I suppose kinda like any minority where some folk seem to enjoy putting forth the worst stereotypes as their chosen persona. I am no psychologist, but no one is born acting like that. No one. neutral And quite honestly, as an act, I'm not gonna say there isn't one, but I personally am not getting the point. I'm missing the wit altogether (if there's supposed to be any there) and seeing him more as a clown. I guess for me it comes across as if the gay equivalent to what some folk here refer to as coonery in just about every Tyler Perry movie discussion...what would that be? faggery?? lol

I was thinking the same thing, but couldn't put it into words that wouldn't spark a debate about minority stereotypes.

There are so very few words that won't spark minority debates. You know god-forbid I don't say what the hell is in my head for fear of it exploding. I'd never get the glitter out from between the keyboard keys.
I just took a chance.I'm just glad it was articulate enough to make some kind of sense.lol
