No more Law & Order

NBC just canceled it.

I didn't watch the show regularly, but I always liked having it around. It was a good fallback show.

It had it's time. It's not special.

Can we have Christopher Meloni in roles where he's half-naked most of the time again, please?

Thanks!

It just hasn't been the same since Jerry Orbach passed away. The writing is so formulaic and the issues are too PSA. It's also hard to keep track of all the assistant DA girls -- there are new ones every season.

I'm tired of SVU, too. I find Sharon Stone's character really obnoxious to the point I don't want to watch the show because of it.

I wouldn't quite say it's dead yet; even though the ratings have declined precipitously over the past few years, it still draws solid ratings when it's shown in a decent time slot. It looks like it's a feud between Dick Wolf, the executive producer, and NBC over the number of episodes over what would be the final season on broadcast TV and the syndication deal with TNT, which is up at the end of this season. In addition, NBC and Wolf still have L&O: SVU on the air, and they are working on bringing L&O: LA as a replacement. Plus, NBC and Wolf wanted to have the distinction of having the longest running scripted drama in TV history, beating Gunsmoke. So ultimately, the show's fate is about....money.

Is CI still recording new episodes? I see it on TBS or something, but I thought they were reruns.

Also apparently gone: FlashForward and Heroes. It looks like V will get at least a short reprieve; I guess ABC is ordering a limited amount of episodes so it'll still have a chance.

ABC is the WORST at figuring out what shows are good and what aren't. They've canceled so much good stuff. Heroes was certainly due to be gone. FlashForward is hyped all the time. V will last for a while.

NBC isn't much better at figuring these things out.

I can't think of anything I watch on CBS, cuz that's all you see, is B.S.

I gave up on Heroes ages ago, so I'm fine with seeing it go. I did like FlashForward, though. I liked it more than V, but oh, well. I thought it was cool that ABC was at least trying with its lineup to go for the demo that loved Lost, Battlestar, etc.
