Aliens: U guys should check this out.

This is one of the better programs I have seen on the subject of Aliens. The history channel has a 12 hour series on ancient aliens. Great show in my opinion.

I been watching the series.
But on a serious note, just check the bible and tell me what a "chariot of fire" is for the non-believers. Also, explain to me what led the Exodus for 40 years in the wilderness in the sky that provided shade from the desert sun and eluminated the sky at night and which produced mannar when the masses needed to be fed.

UFO's/aliens anyone?

hopefully, our gods are friendly, and will return to help us in our time of crisis because they love us, they do.

alternatively, they created us and left us here to breed and multiply, so that when they return we will provide food for the return journey to their distant galaxy.....

some days i feel it easier to conceive of the cosmos by thinking of one universe as a turtle with another standing on its back nod

This subject has fascinated me since I read Chariots of the Gods as a teenager. I believe whole-heartedly in life on other planets and I'm open to the possibility that they've visited Earth and possibly colonized it or affected our evolution in some way. There's probably more evidence to support that theory than there is that there's a God as described by the Christian faith. That's not to say that there's no higher power or even a Creator but I have a feeling the real truth is way beyond our current comprehension.

lol Actually, what I was hinting at was the fact that they could be living on our planet without our knowledge. Ever heard of USO's? They are an international phenomenon. not von danicken again lol

i used to be fascinated by all this stuff and read everything von daniken
wrote. he makes for some pretty entertaining reading and it does get you
to think and look at ancient art differently.

a case can be made both ways and it's silly to me how 'conventional' drs
and professors ridicule von daniken when they fail to come up with even
rudimentary answers to some of the questions he seeks to answer.

it does me me laugh though how von daniken is always dug up again when a
series is made about aliens. he's a man i love to hate, i guess. somehow
i can't stand him, although i do respect what he does. if that makes any
sense at all.

kind of the same way i absolutely loathe zahi hawass but yet have a few
of his publications since they're thorough and contain some info i've not
been able to find in other books about egypt.

on a slightly related note: was it in one of von danikens books or did it
appear somewhere else completely, a picture of a boot imprint in a dried
up riverbed that also contained fossilized prints of extinct animals and
early humanoids. i've been racking my brain for ages about where i've seen
that picture and now that the name von daniken popped up again i'm thinkin
it might have been a picture in one of his early books.

hmmm

ps: i know this post doesn't make any sense at all. but what the heck biggrin
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

If you can ignore the constant background music this documentary from 1972 is very interesting.

Soooo....have you ever heard about those Egyptian hieroglyphics in the middle of the Australian outback? I saw a book at the library today and it was about weird things on planet Earth that are very difficult to explain...like Mexican statues of dudes with space helmets, the aforementioned hieroglyphics etc.etc.

I'll be alright because if they have a higher conciousness and they're smarter than us then they'll probably have a highly refined sense of taste and will only want to eat the sexy people.

I sometimes think who created God....how did the universe start...it's complicated...makes my head hurt. Is there a beginning? Will everything stop existing at some point.

Those are some profound questions that man has been asking for ages. I think about that stuff all the time myself. And yeah, a headache usually ensues. lol Physics and all that talk about time and space and the possibility of time travel also boggles my mind but I can't help but contemplate it. It's truly fascinating.

As far as this ancient alien stuff goes, another very interesting facet is that map that depicts the earth from space and shows what the artic looks like beneath the ice caps. Yet, it dates back to the 1500's. I can't remember the name of the map though. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

ah. nod i've read that the aliens are actually living at the earth's north and south poles - ala the hollow earth theory..

Yes, I saw that on, I believe, the Ancient Aliens film I have. (different than the series but same people are in it.) They said that there were no sophisticated surveying tools at the time. How could they have known what that land mass looked like?

It's called Piri Reis map.

Hollow earth? How about the hollow moon? It was brought here from another galaxy to stabalize life on our planet.
