Question for the female orgers The following video has inspired this thread/question (a question which has been in my mind for some time, anyway...)
well, the video shows that, during the entire interview, Cate was somewhat uncomfortable and even / Whatever the case, Cate didn't react at all to the interviewer's flamboyance...Perhaps you think that I'm tryin' too hard, but this has been the first time that I've seen an actress/female artist that was just neutral in front of a flamboyant homosexual...when usually they're like and ... So, my question is? do you female orgers think that the myth "women and gays usually get along/understand each other perfectly" is true, or false ??? I've some female friends that just LOVE to be around gays, to party with them, to tell them their intimate secrets, and stuff like that... ; on the other hand, other female friends, my two sisters, mom and grandma just try to avoid them (that doesn't mean they hate them)... so, what do you female orgers say? Do you have intimate gay friends? Do you connect better "as women" with gays? Or do you prefer to be surrounded by typical straight males? I'm also asking this because, the other way around, from my personal experience, I think that straight males and lesbians just try to ignore each other, as much as they can... Peace (and everyone can answer, as always...) [Edited 5/12/10 16:03pm]

Totally disagree that Cate seems uncomfortable here. She looks like she's having a nice time and likes the interviewer...and she also looks like many actors/actresses do after a long day on a press junket, which this obviously is.
But for your larger question...sure, some women love the gays more than others.

Gay boys have never really liked me so I've never really had the chance to have a GBFF.
All my friends are either straight males, straight girls or lesbians.

Ex-Moderator | As for the questions, starting around age 20 or so I started to have more gay male friends than straight male friends. I think for me it was more a matter of clicking with people with common interests and those people tended (and still tend) to be gay men and straight women, for whatever reason. To this day I'd rather walk into a gay bar than a sports bar handsdown every time.
Now I don't think too much about it. My friends are just my friends, whatever their sexuality (and I've got friends on all points along that rainbow). |

alot of women are 'friends' with gays because they saw some broad in a rom-com movie with one..kind of using them for their sexuality really
cate as far as i know isn't like these women ''now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, a fanatical criminal''

I'm not going to watch it, but I'd throw in that not all celebs even like to be interviewed, by ANYBODY.
