MOMENTS of "EWWWW" that just pop out of nowhere. I've been running my fingers through a feather duster on my desk,
just subconciously and unaware of what I was doing, while reading emails on my computer. Anyways, after 20 minutes of fondling this hapless duster, I realized that I've been basically petting a the remnants of a dead chicken. EWWWWW. I hate it when these last minute epiphanies jump out of nowhere and gross me the fuck out. It's like this one time my sister panicked the fuck out when she realized "Lamb" meat might be baby sheep. We had to spend like a half hour on google making sure she wasn't going to some kind of little-bo-peep hell in her next life, lawd. . [Edited 5/10/10 23:07pm]

Dammit! [Edited 5/11/10 6:31am] We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Sooooo...you're running your fingers through a bunch of dust, dirt and dust mites (and probably snacking without washing your hands). And you're "ew-ing" about the feathers? Okay. When I'm cleaning a giant dump off the floor because one of my adult students thought it would be funny to shit next to the toilet instead of in it, and I suddenly realize, "EWWWWW, this isn't chocolate pudding!"

I don't know what's more wrong with this scenario: that an adult student would think crapping on the floor is funny...or that you would ever, in any universe, mistake dookie for chocolate pudding. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I don't know what's more wrong with this scenario: that an adult student would think crapping on the floor is funny...or that you would ever, in any universe, mistake dookie for chocolate pudding. My students are severely developmentally disabled. The man in question has Down's Syndrome and makes a habit of shit (ha ha) like this. I was just making light of the fact that most every day at my job includes lots of ew ew ew moments, and sometimes I just tell myself "it's just chocolate pudding, it's just chocolate pudding" to make myself feel better.

I'm just glad I wasn't the instructor on the receiving end of the tantrum that was thrown today. Luckily his threats weren't followed up on, but one of our really big guys was storming the grounds yelling, "She can't tell me what to fuckin' do, she's not my fuckin' boss, she needs to be in JAIL! I'm'a bust her in her fuckin' MOUTH! I'm'a get my knife and cut her fuckin THROAT!" Yeah. Like I said, glad it wasn't me.
