"I didn’t know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, I have to say, it sounds like a huge waste of time. I would never say the people on it are losers, but that’s only because I’m polite. People say ‘But Betty, Facebook is a great way to connect with old friends.’ Well at my age, if I wanna connect with old friends, I need a Ouija Board. Needless to say, we didn’t have Facebook when I was growing up. We had phonebook, but you wouldn’t waste an afternoon with it.”--Betty White

Where I live the episode airing next Saturday is the one with Ryan Phillipe, so I guess I would have to wait 2 weeks more to see Betty White, unless I resort to finding the show online somewhere...

Isn't Ryan's episode an old one? Yeah, they always air the same night up here. Last night's episode on the local TV station was the one with Tina Fey... Obviously they can't show the show on the same Saturday night where I am because it would come on at 3:30 am Sunday morning, but a one-week delay would be OK.. The only advantage of the way they're airing the episodes over here is that they are airing "new" (new for Icelandic TV) episodes each week for 22 weeks (or whatever the number of episodes is in a season) instead of having some weeks with re-runs like in the US and Canada. Btw, this Betty White skit from last night is classic : http://tv.gawker.com/5534...fin-on-snl [Edited 5/9/10 10:57am]

Well I live in west Canada so we're behind a few hours from the live taping in New York, and I was used to seeing it 9:30pm-11:00pm growing up. Didn't ever have to stay up past midnight to watch the latest SNL. I think the classic 70s/80s episodes showed around 2:00am.

I wish they'd show the old episodes here too... they only started airing SNL in Iceland this year... the first time a whole season has been on TV here. They showed a few episodes like 10 years ago or something.. I remember an episode where Eminem & Dido were musical guests. For some reason that particular local channel stopped airing SNL and only started airing it again this January.

Through out the show every cast member that had contact with Betty treated her like she was their own nana. It was amazing. Yeah, that was pretty awesome. I got a little choked up during her monologue, cuz I'm a dork. It made me wish I was on SNL 4 the 1st time since I was 16 (I'm 34 now). Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

I'm surprised your muffin isn't dry.
Or yeasty. Yeast can ruin your whole day, or week! I know that's not quoted right, but OMG!!!!! Best SNL in a long time.
