Tebow: NFL QB or NOT? I don't watch college football but I have a question. Is Tebow an NFL qb? I watched a story of him changing his delivery style 4 the NFL combine. What a joke. U can't change how u play overnight in NON games. Any thoughts on this guy?

He's definitely a pro level douche. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

tebow is one hell of an athlete...anybody that denies that just has it out for the guy...alot has been said about his delivery and how it will translate at the pro level...I can see where his holding the ball so low would be easy pickings for a top notch defense...he did play in the SEC against some of the fastest defenses in the nation and fared well...it remains to be seen...I do think that he'll have a lengthy NFL career whether it be a QB or another position...the guy has a great work ethic...the motherfucker knows the game and can play the game...he's a coaches wet dream...
it's interesting that the some of the same sports talking heads that were shoving him down our throats for the last 2 ncaa seasons are the ones that now say he can't make it...again, I'll save my judgement until we get a chance to see him perform... all that being said, nobody has enjoyed poking fun at his ass more than I have...he's an easy target...and when he cried after losing to Alabama in the SEC title game last year, I fully admit I relished in it...

WHAT?!? He's one of the most positive, polite people in sports. He'll get a shot to play QB but I'm not sure he'll be successful. I know he had better passing stats than any of the other QBs taken, but that was from the spread. It's a whole 'nother game when you have to take a 7-step drop. However, I would never bet against Tebow overcoming any challenge.

Why a douche? I suppose douche nozzle would have also been acceptable. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

He won't be as quickly as Clausen or Bradford. He has to change
some of his mechanics. It remains to be seen. I certainly think the Donkeys reached in the first round to take him. He also won't be able to run through lb's in the NFL like he did in college. Ray Lewis is going on 45 and i'd still take him in a one on one matchup against Tebow. Don't laugh at my funk

He also never took a snap under center at Florida. I say he's not a NFL QB. He won't be playing this coming season . . . I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Yes, he's a hell of an athlete. 2.He's not a coaches wet dream in the NFL. He was in college though. 3. He can't currently make it in the NFL. The NFL is much faster than NCAA and there are no cupcakes on the schedule, nor can you schedule your team, so he gets it easy early. 4. I thought this was your judgment. 5. I loved it when he lost to Alabama because he acted as if it was God's will that he have an undefeated season and a national championship. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I thought most coaches, pro or otherwise, loved a player with great athletic ability and great work ethic, but I may be wrong...oh yeah, you already told me that I was.... 3. He can't currently make it in the NFL. The NFL is much faster than NCAA and there are no cupcakes on the schedule, nor can you schedule your team, so he gets it easy early.
how do you know until you see him attempt it?? he's no different than anybody else drafted, he may adjust well, he may not and I love the notion that the NFL is so much more elite than the division it drafts from...I know it's a professional league with premiere athletes..but have you really watched some of those teams play??? let's get real, some of 'em plain suck 4. I thought this was your judgment.
if the question is "Tebow: NFL QB or NOT?", then I'll save my judgement 5. I loved it when he lost to Alabama because he acted as if it was God's will that he have an undefeated season and a national championship.
I loved it too...but I dont really think he thought it was Gods will...I think it showed his love of and passion for the game...but he still looked like a snivelling crybaby... [Edited 4/27/10 13:06pm]

I truly don't understand the negativity towards this guy's abilities. Seriously. Tebow won a Heisman and TWO national championships. Why all they negativity for him while so many other ?uestionable ?uarterbacks get praise? I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Seriously. Tebow won a Heisman and TWO national championships. Why all they negativity for him while so many other ?uestionable ?uarterbacks get praise? Vince Young was not questionable coming out of college. Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart are NFL busts but were not in college. Leinart even won a Heisman and national championship. No one in the NFL seems to care though. Tebow was not in an NFL style offense or with coaches prepping him for the NFL. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Depends on who you ask. Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart are NFL busts but were not in college.
That remains to be determined. Leinart even won a Heisman and national championship. No one in the NFL seems to care though.
Tebow was not in an NFL style offense or with coaches prepping him for the NFL. Surely these are the reasons why's there's so much bias AGAINST Tim Tebow. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Tim Tebow was an outstanding college quarterback, but he will need a lot of work to make it as a quarterback in the NFL. My guess is that he will be working the third string and development squad exclusively during his rookie season. Even if Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn get hurt, I'd see Denver most likely picking up some washed up crappy quarterback before putting Tim Tebow out this season.

yes he did...not many but he did take snaps under center One thing's for certain; if Tim Tebow tries any of those jump passes on the goal line in the NFL, he's going to get killed. If not by any opposing linemen, then by his coaches.

Charlie Ward told the NFL NOT to draft him that he would be playing pro basketball not pro football. He would have been drafted if he had not insisted that he would not be playing in the NFL. Do you think Quinn and Leinart are not busts?!!! Just because they are still on NFL rosters doesn't mean they aren't a bust. Neither came close to living up to expectations. On the other hand, Tebow has low expectations and no indication that he can meet them. He's a first round QB which should be a franchise QB. He'll never be a franchise QB. Ward would have been drafted if he didn't insist on being drafted in the first round. He was told by the 49ers or Chiefs(pending where Joe Montana was at the time)can't remember that he would be drafted in the second round as an understudy to Montana. For some reason,Ward was very arrogant and adamant about not playing in the NFL unless he was drafted in the first round. How the hell could you not wanna learn from Joe Montana? His reward for his decision was a subpar career in the NBA playing for the Knicks as a backup pg. Don't laugh at my funk

I think most college football fans were just sick of the man crush on Tebow as though he was the only face of college football particularly when you had other equally talented players. Hell Tebow wasn't even the best player in his conference last year. Mark Ingram anyone? Also Tebow was quite arrogant. See the Georgia game of 2008 when they ran up the score against Georgia on purpose. Tebow was gleefully rubbing it in. That's one reason why college football fans outside of Florida took delight in seeing Alabama whup the Gators ass last season and seeing tears down Tebow's face was just icing on the cake. What about all the hype he got leading up to the draft which was okay by me but how many times can you take hearing the same ole same ole whichever team selects me I'M GONNA WORK HARD I'M GONNA WORK HARD I'M GONNA WORK HARD. Don't forget the incident during the Wonderlic test, and it's no surprised some folks are tired of his act. I PRAY he tries to run on the Raven defense - see how THAT goes.
