I saw this episode of House Hunters Int'l and it had me thinking about Bali. This joint was LAID! 2550 sq ft fully furnished, chef, maid, pool for $330,000!!! love

If I ever go to Bali, I'm staying here

@ 4:30

Gorgeous...

When I was there the traffic moved one way in a big circle around the island. If you missed your turn, you had to drive all the way around again - about 30 minutes, iirc. The driver nearly missed it a second time, and I thought I would have walked back to the hotel, but it's just so beautiful to be there & see. love

lol Oh hell naw! Guess I'd be on a bike. But it does look gorgeous. I was amazed at the homes and prices but it looks a lil too rural for my tastes.

lol The lizzards up & down the walls, and the leaping frogs on the paths did freak me out. I'm a city girl too! lol

wave Hey, welcome back chica! Lawd have mercy, you were missed! hug
I was wondering what happened to you and was going to send you an email to check on you. Glad to see you back!

To answer your question...probably in the Virgin Islands, biggrin . But I think it is a good idea for you to purchase a home in your homeland, especially if you have family there.

Does it rain considerably less in the summer? I thought it was year round. I've never been there but it looks really lush and green.

Hey Scandalous. Good to see you back.

My brother lives in Seattle and it is absolutely gorgeous out there. (A far cry from where I live in Dallas).

Anyway, if you've never been to southern Italy, that's where I would want to retire.

Great food. Great countryside. VERY nice, generous people.

Someday....

Well my bf has his house in Trinidad in the middle of the rain forest with an amazing view across the ocean. It's just a little nice house and does not look like the big fancy houses posted on this thread, but I miss it and I just wish I could be there more often sigh.

+1. I've been there three times so far. I love the fact it's a U.S. state, but it's an exotic place. People are friendly and assume I'm a local, cuz I'm a brown skinned asian lol . Going back in August for my sister's wedding.

South Africa, anywhere in the Western Cape.
Second option would be in Greece, Lefkada.
