anybody into organic supplements? Recently I heard Suzanne Somers on Adam Carolla's podcast, and she was all about natural supplements and their amazing benefits. Very interesting interview.
Anybody into natural cures/health stuff? I've recently upped my olive oil intake and I'm thinking about getting some tumeric in my life. It's a start. I'm a total newbie - let's hear what you take and for what!

I used organic supplements when I was in the states (very hard to find and trust here in Bangkok).
I would say the best ones are actually the 'green drinks'. Like the powders you can get at the organic grocers or GNC (if you get the ones from GNC, don't get the GNC brand--they taste awful.). They actually will make you feel rejuvenated after a week of being on them. The best thing though...and I can't stress this enough...is drinking more water in general, and doing some form of exercise every day. The water drinking after couple of days will completely give you renewed energy. Most people are mildly dehydrated--this causes fatigue. Let yourself be open and life will be easier. A spoon of salt in a glass of water makes the water undrinkable. A spoon of salt in a lake is almost unnoticed.--The Buddha

I take N-acetyl-cysteine in the winter - which is an antioxidant and immune booster. (It's the stuff they give people in cases of Tylenol OD to prevent damage to the liver.) I tend to be in much wider germ pool when I'm doing a play, so I need all the help I can get.
At times when I'm not taking NAC, I sub in other antioxidants. I3C, gamma-E complex, etc. It's good to rotate these. I also take cod liver oil, vitamins C and D, and magnesium. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I take a multivitamin, flaxseed oil, vitamin D, and L-glutamine (an amino acid). I also drink lots of water (try to get in around 100 ounces a day).

I don´t really trust the organic hype. One day it´s this, the next day it´s that. They always come up with some sort of new, top secret and pricey stuff, like that noni juice scam or using aloe vera in probiotic yoghurt drinks and whatnot ( aloe vera can be very useful on the skin but there are far too many useless aloe products out there).
I use this stuff regularly: zinc protein shakes before workouts and before going to bed and with my breakfast ( casein, whey, egg-albumin....no soy, no wheat protein, no bullshit) arginine magnesium brewers´ yeast tablets(sometimes) flax seed (sometimes) whey protein after workouts And I drink green tea, black tea, a bit of coffee, eat lots of natural yoghurt, vegetables and especially beetroot and lots of carrots or carrot juice. And olives and olive oil in abundance. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
