My name is Jan Zalubil - or you could say Honza Zalubil. My friends always shortened it to Zaza..it's my nickname smile

So after reading your subsequent posts, I guess Honza is short for Jan? I've never understood that about some nicknames or shortened names, how/why they actually have more letters and more syllables than the "real" name.

I chose "Sherry" because it was (and still is) one of my favourite Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons songs growing up. And "Jackson" because I'm a biiiiig MJ fan (18 years and counting). cool

My real name is Salma biggrin

And all this time I thought that was your real name. Sheeeerrryyy ba-a-by (Sherry baby) Sheerryy, won't you come out tonight?

Sorry about the confusion. You can call me Sherry or Salma. Either way, I don't mind. biggrin

I like your name... "Poiple". Awesome!

No real reason.

I was sick of FunkMistress, but wanted to still be recognizable. I started using an old alter, PsychoNeverHands, but nobody ever knew who I was when I posted - it kind of took away from the banter that I come here for.

I've always been a huge fan of R&B/Funk music, but Jersey introduced me to punk rock a few years ago, so I just changed it to PunkMistress. shrug

Mine is pretty simple and straight-forward.

My name is Dan. My friends call me Donk.
My favorite color is blue, but sometimes green.
I'm a Sagittarius, and my favorite food is curry. As a matter of fact I
think I'd get depressed if I didn't have curry at least once a week.

Thus, Thevoid.

Was this the personal or not-so-personal answer? Appropriate name, given your avi, I might say. Have one for me! beer

Oh yes, you're right, it is pretty simple and straight-forward. Your response created a void in my brain trying to follow the logic. Orgnote soon to follow.

Interesting...are you an actress/inspiring? I think I read in one of your posts before that you were in a local version of a famous play/musical (sorry, I can't remember what it was!).

Yes, I am an actor. I rarely work for pay (few of us do - especially in cities the size of mine lol ) - but I do two to three local productions a year.

I just finished Narnia a couple weeks ago - and did A Christmas Carol earlier in the season. Haven't decided what I'll do next season. But I'm looking at one possibility, in particular - that is actually three plays done in repertory. A girl could make an entire season out of something like that.

Yes, yes, of course! It was Narnia I was thinking of. I'm embarrassed that I forgot, as I am a huge Narnia/CS Lewis fan. I would have enjoyed that, I think.

Yeah, I searched it and I think it was August 2008. But I figured we've had a lot of new folks join since then, and not many folks replied in the original thread (which appears to be the same direction this one is heading!). Cool avi, by the way.

It was more recent than that. I don't think I was that active on here in 2008.

I've been on the org as Deadflow3r since August 2009 and I haven't seen it. Let's face it GD gets so many threads it's easy for a thread to just get lost in a flood of threads.

I was dollwoman from April to August 2009. Then I realized that I wasn't always such a doll and I wasn't happy with Lotusflow3r and I love cemeteries and somehow Deadflow3r just seemed to be the right choice. Getting an avatar that was a deadflower with 3 things on it.

I dig (not literally) cemeteries too. I'll occasionally stumble across old cemeteries/graves in the woods while working. Saw one the other day (a single grave) that had a death date of 1801.
