I got an Illegal DVD copy of The Two Towers.... and it's great.A brilliant copy, except every 15 minutes it get's a 'For your consideration' message at the bottom of the screen.
I paid to see it at the cinema, so i don't consider it stealing, and i will buy it when it comes out properly on DVD.The thing is the last pirate film i saw was E.T. back when i was 12 years old in '82, and that was my Dads fault! so i don't generally endorse being a purveyor of dubious goods.I'm not a criminal! or am i? i feel guilty, but you gotta love that Gollum! i blame Peter Jackson for making such a kickass film!. (i feel better for that)

I love those legal screeners. I have a friend in LA that gets the 'for your condideration' screeners for academy or emmy voters. I just watch them and send them back, if i could vote then i would. ---------------------------------

I'm SO not happy w/ the whole DVD copying situation, which makes me a total b/c I'm perfectly willing to copy music. I dunno, movies are special to me, I don't like that people will be ripping movies like mad...

Good one! You might want to move to another country where *legal* copies of such movies go on sale within a couple of months of the normal release. [This message was edited Wed Jan 22 9:37:18 PST 2003 by sabaisabai] Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

I've seen it twice at the cinema - it's a fantastic and favourite film of mine, along with The Fellowship of course.
Sounds like a fair deal to me, that u are buying the dvd later on...

I respect that you've already paid to see it & will buy the official release. It's just that VHS bootlegs have been rampant for so long, it's gonna be a nightmare when everyone gets a friggin' DVD burner - I just fear the people who won't be as honest as you're being...
