It's almost like they're having their own gathering while you act a fool with fellow orgers.

So, for those of you that have been to org gatherings, how do you talk your significant other into it? I just dont know that my hubby would wanna go with me, which could be fun What do your mates know about the org people... I do realize some of you have been here for years but do they have any interest in meeting other orgers? Now that I've brought mine to a couple of mini-invasions and he has seen how much fun it is to travel around the world and have a load of friends at every port to visit, he has totally come around to the idea. Places are nothing without PEOPLE, just two of us having dinner night after night at our hotel room or something He really understands it now and I'm really glad to have introduced him to a few of you - he has a special place in his heart for a couple of you too
BEFORE that he was suspicious - thought all orgers were a bunch of losers who had no friends (like me). It was always nice to have my ex around when I met orgers. He knew a bit about them so that was kinda perfect. Well times change With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! The org used to be a deep dark secret with me. Now I openly tell people about being on a website for six years, meeting up with people in other cities, etc. But I continue to refrain from using the word Prince, even when people ask what site. I very much prefer keeping my real life friends separate from my org friends. I don't think I'd ever bring a partner to an org invasion, unless he was an orger, of course.

I've met lots of orgers and I'm shy! It has never been a scary experience. In fact, I have found it much more comfortable than most other social situations I engage in. And to add to that, now that so many years on the org have passed, I am more and more impressed by how long-lasting and meaningful these online friendships really are. I think they are some of the best relationships I have ever had! They are real and I take them seriously. (didn't used to)
