I had a pretty good day, but then I had fight with a friend and it killed my good mood! My good news? I think I'm finally ready to let go of something I should have a long time ago. "Love Hurts. I have used just plain white sheers and I love the look! Clean but still classy I think... I do sew, but mainly by hand. I made a quilt back in 2003 that I stitched totally by hand. Five weeks it was done, but I was dyin! It's really not too hard if you are going with bigger pieces of fabric. Lay them on your bed (inside out), line them up and sit on the floor, and sew the edges and just work your way around. Remember, sewing isn't about necessarily getting it right the first time, it's just about getting it right. Sometimes, there's ripping and restitching involved to get what you want. I never got the hang of a machine. I was always more comfortable with hand sewing. It's relaxing to me. I wish I knew how to knit/crochet. I agree with the white sheer thing too. In this room, I need to find a fabric with some texture or something, and I'll just hang those. In fact, I've thought of just getting a small rod that only has one end to attach to the wall and putting one on either side of the window to hang the drapes on. You obviously couldn't pull them to, but on the 3rd floor, who needs to?! I have blinds if I need to filter some light. I'm slowly painting frames and hanging pictures. I finally got the old night stand stripped. I had an idea to be geeky and stencil on it somewhere. haha Too bad you don't live closer - we could talk sex shop all day while hanging curtains. hahahah | |
