I really only like male animals anyway, and there's a beautiful 12 year old neutered (and healthy) male cat at a nearby shelter that's available for adoption. I'm very interested in adopting it soon, but my Dad says it would be way too old, LOL. Ok being serious...kitty was probably either in overprotective Mom-mode (most likely), or was having some sort of other post-partum issue. Just like human mothers can just kinda go off their tracks and try to kill their kids or whatever animals can do whacked out shit like that too. Another possibility is that one (or both) of the kitty's owners were abusive, and mommy kitty didn't want them trying to hurt her babies.

Cats should be banned....as of now!!!!
That way, dogs can become the new king of pets.
