oh - and airfare is the WORST. It's pretty pricey, but the rest is really inexpensive. Dan is actually getting me a place where he is staying for UBER cheap for the month. Not sure if you can get one of those for just a week or whatever but we can find you something close I'm sure. I'll have to chat with you about timing too, as I'm going to do my yoga retreat by myself for part of the time and I'm gonna try to get Dan to go to the beach with me for a long weekend (if he can work it out w/his schedule), and maybe see if fauxie and mon can come too.

I have met Chris (Anxiety) and Darin back in 2007 but I wish more Orgers would visit Iceland.

Despite what you might have heard in the news, the airport here is still open and the ash-cloud from the volcano hasn't affected Reykjavik or any of the more populated areas here, it's just farmers living close to the volcano that have had to clean ash from their roofs and their land.

One other reason I would love if Orgers would come here is because it's so expensive right now to travel from the country for people living here because our currency is so low in value... on the flipside it has probably never been as affordable for tourists to visit here.

Well I live in Iceland and I can't afford to go to Org meetups far away from home, especially since I'm unemployed... so it makes perfect sense I want people to come here.
Plus I see a lot of B.S. about Iceland in the international press, especially after the banking crash, so I sometimes feel the need to give Orgers the real story.

I remember reading once an interview with kids from England who were asked about Iceland and they said "I think they STILL live in igloos"

I should add that if I had the money to travel within the United States I would definitely want to visit the Keystone State.
