I set-up a couple of my gay friends once. They were two nice guys, not dating anyone at the moment.

It didn't work-out because one of then moved abruptly...well.. the truth is he was a teacher, and he was caught "coming-on" to one of his students! Nobody had any idea though. There were no charges filed or anything.. but I think he was sort of forced-out.. or so some mutual friends told me.

The other guy ended up in a long-term relationship.

The point being, don't gays and/or lesbians have mutual friends who can fix them up?

Also.. how about meeting other at.. say.. events like weddings or such? It doesn't even have to be a ss-wedding. I'm just talking about events where people get together other than bars.. where people's man goal is to "hook-up."

How about taking a cooking class or joining a lecture series--something like that? Or how about joining a community theatre group or singing group??

That's what I tell my straight single friends--well all of my single friends to do.

In other words like right now, people are trying to come up with a "match." I would just think in the gay community.. if a person, "Hey, I'm tired playing the field, I'd like to meet a nice guy," then maybe friends of friends could possibly know a nice guy or gal?

I'm just saying.. if a person regardless of orientation wants to "settle down," then maybe his/her friends might know somebody wanting to also settle down.
