Anyone had experience with paypal?

Good? or bad?

Does one need to be set up with on-line banking?
how does one transfer money from paypal to pocket?

Can anyone give me details how and if this works smoothly?

I've no idea about these things. neutral [b]

When you set up a paypal account, you give paypal the routing number to your bank account. From the paypal website, you can move money from your paypal account to your bank account.

Best non-traditional banking system I've ever used... I've used it for business and personal purposes and never had a problem. Just read the instructions carefully, make sure you understand the way it all works and you'll be good to go.

thumbs up!

Can't go wrong with PayPal. Everyone online should have a PayPal account (IMHO).

I use personally to purchase and use it for business to accept payments constantly. It's great.

Yeah, I get a little nervous whenever I buy something and don't see PayPal as an option. I'll even go elsewhere if it's available on other sites for the same price.

I'm glad Ebay has PayPal, because some user on there tried to swindle $90 out of me for a Golden Girls boxset. He never sent it, and I reported him. PayPal investigated and saw where the user never made the transaction. I was refunded my money back in about 30 days.

My Paypal account got locked/frozen. I think I entered the password incorrectly three times. The same day my wife left me for my best friend. I started drinking to numb the pain, but it didn't help. My work suffered and I was forced to "go quietly". The drink was the only thing I had left. Six years later I've faced my demons and I'm in a better place. I still see my wife occasionally (depends on how much foliage is on her hedgerow).

So, no, I wouldn't recommend Paypal. sad

Even aside from PayPal, Ebay and Amazon are both good for refunding your money when you file a claim against a shady vendor. They really know how to do business. But WITH PayPal, you can feel EXTRA EXTRA safe about your purchase. Great way to get paid quickly too if you're a seller on Ebay or Amazon.

There is one thing that you have to be on the look-out for: paypal phishing scams. I get fake paypal emails all the time and, to the unwary, they look legit. This is not a big deal if you know what to look for. See this from paypal to protect yourself: https://www.paypal.com/us...n5-outside

I like it. It is fast and secure. But it has been many years since I got my account so I have no idea what it now entails. I know you can use a Credit/debt card or an electronic check. Way back when it could take a few days for a check to clear. And I am pretty sure to move a payment from paypal (I like to keep about $10 in pay pal at all times) to your account can also take 3 or 4 days.
