you know 3 weeks ago I told him I would be leaving that project in his hands, told him the date it needed to be completed, gave him a full day to do it (last Monday) and after asking him when it was going to happen on that day and he nominated 5pm, he got as far as starting to paint a cardboard box white. Since then he has been too busy. He leaves all that creative craft shit to me ![]() ![]() ![]()

It cracks me up when parents argue the kids' grades, because they are insulted that THEIR work didn't get a high grade! ![]() BTW- we know that the kids didn't do them, when 1/2 of them can't even hold a crayon properly in class, but come in with these incredible masterpieces done at home. ![]() "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

You've fighting a losing battle anyway..if the teachers dont like you your stuffed.
When doing my art exam in my school days something very 'mysterious' happened. My in-class pieces were never that good because of time frames but, allowed to spend hours on something, I could really come into my own. When I produced a life like sculpture of an old boot (don't ask) the teacher wasn't sure I'd had done it...and mysteriously it got smashed overnight in a locked classroom and could therefore not be graded. When my daughter was 3, her pre-school had an Easter bonnet competition. All the kids were given those cardboard sick-bowls you get at the hospital and were told to decorate them for Easter.
I gave her some things to stick on, some paint and glitter and glue etc and let her get on with it (with a little bit of supervision). She proudly took it to pre-school a few days later only to find that 90% of the other kids had obviously had a huge amount of help from parents. Some of them were amazing. Cody didn't mind at all but it did look pretty shit compared to most of the other ones ![]()

I didn't take a picture of it, but i'm sure it had big blobs of glue on it that hadn't dried properly. And it didn't help that it was effectively a glittery sick-bowl ![]()
