The Kentucky Derby is tomorrow 2010 Kentucky Derby
Saturday May 1, 2010 5pm on ABC (Time zones not factored in so watch your listings!) Are you going to watch? Who you picking to win? Anyone going to the actual race? And they're off....   I'm firmly planted in denial | |

That's right!! I am from Kentucky, still living in Kentucky and yes, it is indeed Derby time!! Time for partying  gettin ya drank on  and gettin some BBQ  and havin an all around great time!!!
Yes I will be watchin!! Nope, I won't be at the actual race(it's gonna rain anyway so...  )

I chose Super Saver... but at the last minute! 
I just watched that pre-race interview, and Super Saver had the most speed on the slow, wet track! I'm just happy all is well! I'm not sure if Super Saver is going to go all the way. I'd love it. Every year, I root for some beautiful horse to win that Triple Crown. | |

Since it happened in back to back years, I didn't think it was that big of deal.
I think Ice Box will win either the Preakness or the Belmont Stakes. Did you see him come on at the end? He went from second to last to second in the blink of an eye. It was pretty amazing, really. Here is Ice Box when he won the Florida Derby last month. He runs last for the entire race and then wins it in the last ten seconds.  He essentially did the same thing today, but came up a little bit short.

That was the fastest two minutes in sports!
Preceeded by the slowest eight hours... Next year, I'm going to find out when they start the actual race, and tune in one minute before that. The dude that won $800K was cool, though. | |

Yeah, I fell for the 8 hour thing to a couple years ago! Trick is keep checking in because once they start *blink* it's over.
