He can't currently make it in the NFL which is why there is the expectation that he will sit a year.

Dude, saying that doesn't make it so. neutral And you still haven't offered anything substantial to such an assertion.

It's called a PATTERN.OF.BEHAVIOR. lol Peyton, unlike Tebow, could never win the big games in college, and he's not any different 11 years into the pros. Yet the media touts Peyton as the greatest QB of this generation because of his (padded by NFL rules) stats in the air. Peyton is and has been great at what he does, but he's OVER.HYPED. Nobody thought they were gonna win the Superbowl becuase their defense was HORRIBLE at stopping the run. That was the year the Jags put up 300 yrds on the ground against the. But the defense learned and made adjustments which is what pro athletes are supoosed to do. When the defense showed up the Colts won the ring...but PEYTON got all the praise? confuse The same thing happened with his brother's team. The Giants D won stopped the Patriots, but Eli gets the fat contract? confuse

I think people base their assessment of Tebow on having watched him in college.
I really watched him last year (2009) and never thought he looked NFL caliber. Yeah, he has a great W-L record but so did Gino Toretta out of Miami.
Being good or great in college is no guarantee of NFL success.

Agree 100%, talent and skills need to be improving. And collge success doesn't guarantee pro success, but it is the obvious indicator. wink Which is why they scout and draft college players in the first place.

Agreed. Peyton is still an outstanding qb who doesn't always win
the big games. Peyton is still 3 times the qb Tebow will ever be. biggrin
I agree with you on Eli. Eli has the ability to be better but just
seems to lack focus at times.

You still have to be able to throw the ball downfield. Eli does that - dude made huge plays in that game. He'll never be as great as Peyton, but he's still very good, and franchise QBs get the big money. The year after the SB, my boys finished 12-4 with the SECOND toughest schedule in the league. If Idiot didn't shoot himself, we beat Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. This past season, Eli and the WRs weren't the problem. Our defense sucked ass, giving up 40+ points five fucking times(85 points the last two games).

I don't care. The Titans OWN the Giants and the NFC East division for that matter. evillol We're tied with Dallas at 2-2, the Redskins have beat us only once, and the Giants and Eagles are winless against us. WINLESS! evillol I pray to God the next time the Titans are in the Super Bowl an NFC East team is in there with us. Unfortunately, The Titans and the entire AFC South is nothing but a regular season division. neutral No AFC team is scared of the Titans OR the Colts when it comes to playoffs, because we always find ways to lose. Peyton is and always has been a choker, and the Titans coaching scheme has always been wall playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

Giants have been to four Super Bowls, winning three. RINGS are all that matters.

Really? lol Then...

Tim Tebow in college >> All current NFL Qbs when they were in college = TT is greater than them all!

evillol The Giants have 3 rings, and the Titans excel at kicking the shit out of the Giants. Both statements are true!

Will Jemarcus Russell land with another team?
Dude has the physical tools to be a decent NFL qb.

But he doesn't have the head, heart, desire and work ethic to be a legit NFL QB. Put Tim Tebow's brain in Fatso's body, then we can talk.

Obviously you've never seen him play.
No one in the NFL will pick up that garbage.
And it's Jamarcus . . . .

He'd also need heart and balls to go with Tebow's brain and THEN he might have a shot at a job, somewhere doing something . .. .

This shows you how overrated the combines are. Just because a dude has a rocket arm(Jamarcus), or is a physical specimen(Vernon Gholston), doesn't mean they have what it takes to play in the NFL.

I think some team will take a shot at him if not just
for another body in camp and unfortunately injuries
happen during training camp and preseason.

I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole. The fact that he's out of shape(and came to camp out of shape) shows you his committment to the game.

ZERO committment. U can't compete in the big boy league when u are out of shape physically and mentally.

I don't think the combines are overrated. It certainly takes more than being a physical specimen or a rocket arm.
Combine evaluations and drafts include teams taking a chance like Denver with Tebow.
It's an objective and subjective process.

Yeah, that's the example I want in camp with the rookies and whomever else already is on the team . . . .
He'd be a laughingstock wherever he went. It's not like he's competing to be anything . . . .

But it's very risky drafting QBs that high in the first round. If he bombs out, your franchise is fucked for several years because of the money invested in these cats. The Chargers were able to recover after Leaf crapped out. Will the Raiders?
