How much does each orger save every month?

I save between £875- £1000 a month in a crappy account that only pays me 2.75% AER

My target is to have so much I can effectively live off my interest & not have to work. neutral

What good can come of it? People are given to lie about money. If not, fantastic, but like him I see no great benefit in it. I couldn't give two shits about how much money you or anyone else makes or saves per month. I think it's boring.

I think it's a little gauche to flaunt money. confused

I'm not a doctor, but if you're able to invest that kind of money you should seek advice. I think, with current rates of inflation, your savings are going backwards.....

I won’t tell you how much, but I will say that 5% of my pre-tax earnings go into a 401k account and my company matches that. As long as all continues to go well, my retirement will be modest but very livable. Which is pretty much my lifestyle now. smile

I put away about 8% of my income in a regular savings account, but I dip into it all the time and never seem to have more than a month’s income in there at any time. One of these days I’m going to get serious about THAT account and put away the 6 months income you’re “supposed” to have on reserve. I’ll be debt-free other than my mortgage in a couple of months, that’s probably the time to do it. I’ll start saving about 15-20% a month.
